Timeline for Trek Events

Sunday, Jan. 25th, 2009 – Gathering Zion Fireside
7 p.m. at the Stake Center
Speaker: Darius Gray, a Mormon pioneer of the 1960s
All trek youth, their parents and ward leaders invited


Saturday, March 7th, 2009 – Gathering Zion Warm-up Walk
Meet 9 a.m.  at the Stake Center.
Walk about 5 miles downhill along the trail of the first pioneers
into the Salt Lake Valley.  Lunch afterward.
We will walk regardless of the weather.  Dress appropriately.
All trek youth and ward leaders are invited to come.
This activity will fulfill a Personal Progress and a
Duty to God Requirement


Saturday, May 16th, 2009 – Priesthood Restoration Commemoration Event
ALL youth 12-18 invited.  ALL ward mutual leaders invited.
Hygiene kits will be assembled.
We will walk through Parley's Gulch.  Please wear good walking shoes.
Meet 9 a.m. at the stake center.  Lunch afterward.
This activity will fulfill a Personal Progress and a
Duty to God requirement.  Bring your Armor of God token.


Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 – Trek bucket check-in
Wards will be given assigned times in the evening where youth will
check-in their equipment and buckets for trek at
the stake center.


Wednesday, June 10th  through Saturday 13 th, 2009
Pioneer trek!The adventure begins!
Meet at the Stake Center at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday,
       Return home by the early afternoon, Saturday, June 13th.
